Edina Homebrew is owned and run by David Martin. After 20 years homebrewing and winemaking as a hobby - and achieving many awards for his beers and wines at local shows - David took over the business from his friend the former owner in 1999.

He is a member of the Calton Wine Circle in Edinburgh and also a member of Scottish Craft Brewers. Since taking over the shop David has used his knowledge to update Edina Homebrew’s range of products. He has also introduced a mail order service for those who are outwith Edinburgh or for whatever reason cannot come into the shop.

David is naturally gregarious and fun-loving and decided at the outset that his shop would be like a club for homebrewers and winemakers to congregate and seek advice rather than just a place to buy homebrew products. He has succeeded in this and is happy to offer a friendly helpful service – together with the occasional free sample – to his existing customers and to anyone starting out in the very social hobby of homebrewing.
